Innsbruck Records is proud to announce that Mark Kostabi is featured in a new Documentary produced by Atena Films and directed by Sabrina Digregorio.
Digregorio tells a new story about Mark Kostabi, his connection with Andy Warhol’s America, show business as we know it and even MTV. As Digregorio notes, “…[Mark is]…a figurative artist with a European soul who claimed the metaphysics of De Chirico and with Kostabi World, his painting factory [and] revived the studio system of the Renaissance.”
Digregorio also states, “This documentary film follows the path of a the visionary Kostabi between New York City and Rome. His imagination leads us through the real and unreal, to a Pop and visionary wonderland inhabited by international critics, prominent artists, musicians and directors such as Suzanne Vega and Michel Gondry who star in Kostabi’s TV show, “The Kostabi Show” and to his mentor, jazz legend Ornette Coleman.”
