FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Buddy Love is featured in the ‘Best Albums’ review published by Jim Allen in Our Stage Magazine. Buddy Love released “Buddy Love 2011″ and has a global distribution deal through Innsbruck Records.
Buddy Love is a power pop sensation renowned for climbing the charts with a hit single, “Sheila” in 1980. The group disbanded shortly thereafter and got back together years later and is now stronger than ever. Buddy Love followed up their first musical success with a smash hit-filled CD entitled, “Now and Then.” This collection of power pop received rave reviews and airplay around the globe. Buddy Love performed several sold out shows in the NYC area and accepted radio interviews while promoting “Now and Then.”
Buddy Love is also featured in a rock documentary being filmed by veteran Film Executive Producer, Tony Harding, of THEM.tv, NYC. Check out the teaser at www.them.tv – click on “The Work” – then “Film / TV” and watch “Who is Buddy Love?”
Buddy Love appears on compilation CDs for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 IPOs (International Pop Overthrow Festivals). As with every festival, Buddy Love performed a phenomenal set at the fourth annual International Pop Overthrow on Sunday, November 14th, 2010 at Kenny’s Castaways in New York.
Instrumentation
One of the best lines in the review written by Jim states, “…Against all odds, it picks up right where they left off, with every ounce of energy intact, plus a well earned melodic maturity in tracks like the Badfinger-meets-Roy Orbison power ballad “Crying Town.” See the review below:
