“Marco Machera” Info

Marco Machera is an Italian musician/songwriter –  Known as an accomplished bass player, he is also a singer, guitarist and drummer.  Marco regularly teams up with the Italian progressive rock band, MYTHO.   Marco has opened for guitarist Adrian Belew, drummer/producer extraordinaire Jerry Marotta, fusion virtuoso Frank Gambale and guitar heroine Jennifer Batten.  In September 2009, Marco scored the soundtracks for two theatre performances scripted by actress/director Martina Sacchetti and performed at the WCA Theatre of the University of the Arts of London.

One Time, Somewhere features the talents of Pat Mastelotto, Rob Fetters, Francesco Zampi and Mark Kostabi on most of the tracks, helping Marco to shape his unique vision of music.  The result is an extremely fresh and diverse album.   Critically acclaimed drummer Pat Mastelotto, who plays on the record, says:  “I had a lot of fun working on Marco’s upcoming record.  One of the first tracks he sent me sounded like The Beatles with Tom Waits!”   Here’s what legendary guitarist and songwriter Steve Hackett has to say about One Time, Somewhere:  “It is really good and well crafted and I very much enjoyed it.  Beautiful voice at the beginning and interesting atmospheres and contrasting moods.  Days of Summertime has some fascinating sounds.”

“Buddy Love” Info

Buddy Love is a power pop sensation renowned for climbing the charts with their hit single, “Sheila” in 1980.  The group disbanded shortly thereafter and got back together years later and is now stronger than ever.  This is the second CD since the 2006 reformation of the original line up of Buddy Love, featuring Joey Kelly on vocals, Doug Khazzam on guitar and vocals, Scott Nevin “Killer” Schiller on bass, Rich “Starr” Stirrat on drums and vocals and newest member David Stoler on keyboards.

The song “Crying Town”, produced by Broadway’s “Moving Out” musical director Tommy Byrnes and co-written by Tommy with Doug Khazzam, represents a departure from Buddy Love’s 80′s new wave/pop formula into adult contemporary rock, more fitting to their current personal and musical maturity. In other words, all grown up!

Other standout tracks are “Almost In Tears” featuring the blistering saxophone of guest player Danny Ray and “Set You Free (Let You Go)” (featuring Doug Khazzam on lead vocals). The CD twists and turns through many 60′s cum 80′s flavors, ending right here in 2011.
